About Me: Talofa lava! I am Jacinta Bourne, twenty-one years of age. I hail from the villages of Leauva’a and Lalovaea. I attended St. Joseph’s Primary School from 1993 - 2000. I also attended Chanel College – Moamoa having completed the college level curriculum. In the years 2005-2006, I studied at the Samoa Institute of Technology, and graduated with a Diploma of Tourism Studies.
I am currently studying at the University of the South Pacific at Alafua, undertaking a Bachelor of Arts in Tourism Studies and Industrial Relations. I grew up in my home village Leauva’a, and taught by my beloved parents about the values and beliefs of the Samoan culture, especially the duties and responsibilities of a Tamaitai Samoa.
I am always proud and honored to live my life according to my Samoan culture and traditions. Speaking about religion, I was first baptized in St.Michael’s Parish Leauva’a and became a Catholic since. I love working with the youngsters and the youth of my village in any way I can. I am a person with an outgoing personality, who likes to meet people, loves to dance especially performing our traditional dance. I also like singing and playing sports such as netball and experiencing new adventures.
