Education: Currently a student at Kapiolani Community College, Hawaii completing my prerequisites for the Nursing Program at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
Attainment: EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) certified Combat Medic in the Army Reserve and a Polynesian dancer for Tihati Productions. Dean`s List with a 3.9 cumulative GPA, I am a member of the Honor Society and was the interim Corresponding Secretary for the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society at my school. I am currently involved in the community and have done so through various acts of service, including tutoring high school students, speaking at education conferences and fundraising for scholarships.
Hobbies: Entertaining in Polynesian Dancing, Reading, Politics and Serving Others.
About Me: Talofa lava! I am the fourth of ten children and the first of my family to pursue higher education. I am an EMT in the US Army Reserve and hoping to progress to a Bachelor in Nursing Degree at the University of Hawaii/Manoa. Maintaining my Samoan identity and culture is extremely important to me.
In the past I participated in the (We are Samoa) festival in dancing. I am also involved in awareness workshops on campus and was a former “Miss Lalelei o Samoa” in Hawaii. Furthermore, I participate in awareness campaigns within the Samoan Community regarding health related issues such as diabetes, heart diseases, etc. This year, I am honoured to represent the Samoan community in the United States for the Miss Samoa Pageant.
