About Me: Talofa lava! I am Grace Schmidt Alai, born of my beautiful parents Talalupe Elizabeth and Gaono Matalio Schmidt Alai, and raised by my grandmother Elena Schmidt. One of God’s blessings in y life is having 9 loving brothers and 2 beautiful sisters who have supported me in everything I choose to do in life.
I moved to live in New Zealand in the year 2000 where I furthered my education and graduated at Tawa College Wellington NZ then later moved to Sydney where I now reside. I completed Business Studies course at the Blacktown TAFE NSW and I am hoping to pursue a career in Aviation in the near future at the Gold Coast Queensland Australia.
In my spare times, I concentrate on coaching Polynesian Dancing, being a Managing Director of Culture Express I appreciate living in a Cultural diversity community and welcome every opportunity to share my Samoan culture with others.
Whilst appreciating all the opportunities my beautiful home country Australia has to offer, never will I forget my Samoan upbringing. “Faaaloalo Respect are the words that constantly ring in my ears. My parents and grandmother always say “E iloa le teine Samoa i lana savali, tautala ma lana faaaloalo”.
